The drought is over

Unf^cking Education, no. 3.

Hi there,

After many months and a couple of zoning snafus, we finally got our first school property. It’s a 400 student campus in Short Hills, NJ.

It will open in September 2026.

If you’d be interested in learning more, you can sign up here. Admissions will open soon (when we unveil the brand).

And now for 3 other things I’ve been thinking about

How to make teaching prestigious again

Teaching was once prestigious. Here’s what can we do to make teaching a coveted role again. BTW, we’re paying our teachers 2-3x the NJ average to recruit the best teachers and bring new people into the profiession. It’s been amazing to see the talent applying.

We are in a post text world

There’s a lot of angst about students reading less these days. Instead of pining for the good ol’ days, it’s time to expand what literacy means. Instead of reading & writing, today it means you can tell stories through text, video, audio, images, and even code.

AI might finally break education

AI cheating highlights that much of what passes for education today has no value. So I think we should let AI reveal how inane this work is and force real change at schools vs the punitive/police-like actions being taken today. This essay got people riled up (see the comments).

The +1

😂

Have the best day.

Love,

Anand

P.S. If you have any thoughts, questions, ideas, disagreements, etc, just write back. I get all the emails and as long as you’re not trying to sell me anything, I always respond.
